The band built up a huge loyal following around the punk heyday of 1977 and signed to Beggar's Banquet where they scored five top forty hits between 1977 and 1979 . They also appeared on Top of the Pops and many other television shows and became regulars on the popular Radio One John Peel Show

HOTWIRED was formed in April 1999 by four miss matched characters with one thing in common…. A love for punk rock. Jamie (Satan) Fish took control of the vocals , Dale the lead guitar , Becky rhythm guitar and Sado, bass guitar .The fact they did not have a drummer did not deter them, and they started writing their own material from the beginning.
